The disruption recorded a severity score of 47,688. The primary affected signal was the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), which is responsible for the exchange of routing information between networks. The BGP signal remained at a constant, low level of 117 measurement points for the duration of the event, indicating a sustained reduction in the global visibility of Equatorial Guinea’s IP address space.
