Chad experienced a brief but notable degradation in internet connectivity on July 31, centered on the network control plane. The disruption occurred between 21:25 and 21:45 UTC, lasting approximately 20 minutes.

Technical Details

The event registered a severity score of 68. The primary affected signal was the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), which governs how networks announce and exchange routing information. The BGP signal recorded a drop of 3% from its peak visibility during the observation window. Concurrently, active probing for IPv4 network reachability showed a 13% drop, and a normalized traffic volume metric fell by 85% from its peak.

The cause has not been publicly attributed. Connectivity was reported restored following the brief disruption.
