The primary affected metric was the BGP median signal, which recorded a consistent drop in visible prefixes. The severity score of 22,974 reflects the scale and duration of this control plane event. Other internet measurement signals showed less severe concurrent impacts. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 network blocks, recorded only a minor 4% drop in reachability. The gtr-norm signal, a forecast deviation from expected traffic baselines, showed a 36% drop from its peak, while the merit-nt signal, a backscatter-based aggregate connectivity proxy, fell by 41%.
