Honduras Experiences Brief Connectivity Disruption
Honduras experienced a brief, localized connectivity disruption on Wednesday evening, lasting approximately 30 minutes. The event was characterized by a measurable drop in network reachability across the country’s IPv4 address space.
Technical Details
The disruption occurred between 21:40 and 22:10 UTC on June 17, 2026. The primary affected metric was the ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 network prefixes, recording a severity score of 616. This signal showed a 22% drop from its peak value during the observation window.
Other network telemetry signals showed concurrent deviations. The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) signal, which reflects control plane visibility for network prefixes, recorded a 25% drop. The gtr-norm signal, which forecasts deviations from expected traffic baselines, also showed a 21% decline from its peak.
The cause has not been publicly attributed. Connectivity levels were reported restored following the half-hour event.
