Chad experienced a brief disruption to its internet routing infrastructure on Friday, July 11, 2026. The event, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, primarily impacted the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane. The disruption began at 10:10 UTC and concluded by 10:50 UTC.

Technical Details

The BGP signal, which measures the visibility of network prefixes in the global routing table, recorded a severity score of 91. The median number of visible prefixes dropped by 2% during the event. Concurrently, active probing of IPv4 /24 address blocks showed a 15% reduction in reachability. The country’s overall traffic volume, measured against a forecast baseline, deviated by 33% from its expected peak.
