The disruption began at 02:00 UTC on July 14 and persisted until 04:30 UTC. The primary impact was observed in active network reachability, with a severity score of 3,157 recorded for the event.

Technical Details

The degradation was most pronounced in the ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 network prefixes. The signal’s median value dropped by 23% from its peak during the event window. Other network health indicators also showed deviations. The gtr-norm signal, a measure of traffic volume against a baseline, fell by 57%. The merit-nt signal, an aggregate connectivity proxy based on backscatter, recorded a 60% drop. The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane, which governs routing announcements, remained stable throughout the period.
