The event, which lasted over a full day, primarily impacted the reachability of its IPv4 network infrastructure. Technical Details
The disruption occurred in two distinct periods: a primary event from approximately 22:30 UTC on July 18 to 19:40 UTC on July 19, and a secondary, shorter event later that same day. The primary technical indicator affected was the ping-slash24 signal, which measures the active reachability of the country’s IPv4 address space. This signal’s severity score peaked at 25,744 during the initial period.
Other measurement signals showed varied impacts. The gtr signal, which tracks traffic volume, recorded a 33% drop from its observed peak. The merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity, showed a more pronounced 75% decline. The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane, responsible for routing announcements, remained stable throughout the event.
The cause has not been publicly attributed.
Connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period on July 20.
