The primary affected signal was the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) median, which measures the control plane visibility and routing stability of network prefixes. The BGP signal remained at a constant, reduced level of 325 visible prefixes throughout the event, indicating a sustained withdrawal of routing information.

Other measurement signals showed varying degrees of impact. The gtr-norm signal, a normalized measure of traffic volume, recorded a 70% drop from its peak. The merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity based on backscatter, fell to zero. The core ping-slash24 signal, which measures active ICMP reachability across IPv4 address blocks, showed a more modest 3% decline.

The cause has not been publicly attributed.

Connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period.
