The disruption occurred between 04:30 and 05:30 UTC. The primary affected metric was the BGP median signal, which recorded a severity score of 157. The BGP signal measures the control plane visibility of a country’s internet routing prefixes.
Other network signals showed concurrent but less severe deviations. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 prefixes, saw an 8% drop from its peak. The gtr-norm signal, a forecast deviation from expected traffic baselines, recorded a 65% drop from its peak. The merit-nt signal, a backscatter measurement that serves as an aggregate connectivity proxy, showed a complete 100% drop from its observed peak during the window.
