Technical Details

The disruption occurred between 14:50 and 15:15 UTC. The primary affected metric was the BGP signal, which recorded a severity score of 27. The BGP signal measures the control plane visibility of network prefixes, reflecting the stability of routing announcements. A concurrent, smaller drop of 5% was observed in the ping-slash24 signal, which measures active ICMP reachability across IPv4 network blocks.

Other network telemetry showed mixed results during the observation window. The merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity, showed a more significant 51% drop from its peak. The gtr-norm signal, which tracks deviations from expected traffic baselines, showed a 23% decline.
