The primary affected metric was the BGP control plane, which registered a severity score of 106. The BGP signal measures the stability and visibility of network routing announcements. A drop in this metric can indicate a reduction in the number of network prefixes being advertised globally. During the event, the BGP median prefix count dropped by approximately 2% from its peak.
Other network health signals showed less pronounced deviations. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 address blocks, showed a 7% drop from its peak. The cause of the disruption has not been publicly attributed.
