The primary affected metric was the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) signal, which measures the control plane visibility and routing stability of the country’s internet prefixes. The BGP median value dropped by 7% from its peak during the observation window from 02:30 to 08:30 UTC.
Concurrently, a key data plane metric also showed a sharp decline. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across the country’s IPv4 address space, recorded a 47% drop in reachable prefixes.
