This signal measures the visibility of network prefixes in the global routing control plane; a drop indicates a reduction in advertised routes, which can impact connectivity. During the event, the number of visible BGP routes dropped by 59% from its peak. Concurrently, active probing measurements for IPv4 reachability showed a 57% drop, and a separate backscatter measurement signal fell to zero.
