The event began at approximately 03:50 UTC and persisted for nearly five hours, ending around 08:30 UTC. The primary impact was observed in the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane, a key signal for network prefix advertisement.

Technical Details

The disruption lasted for approximately 4.7 hours. The BGP signal, which measures the visibility of network prefixes in the global routing table, recorded a severity score of 1,089. During the event, the median number of visible prefixes dropped by 4% from its peak. Concurrently, active probing for ICMP reachability across IPv4 address blocks showed a 20% reduction from its peak. The gtr-norm signal, a forecast deviation from expected traffic baselines, registered a more significant drop of 46% from its observed peak.
