alert2blue

Comoros experienced a significant disruption to its internet routing infrastructure beginning on July 9, 2026, and lasting for approximately 1.4 days. The event, which concluded around 21:50 UTC on July 10, primarily affected the network’s control plane visibility.

Technical Details

The disruption registered a severity score of 16,032. The primary affected metric was the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) signal, which measures the control plane visibility and stability of internet routing prefixes. The BGP signal recorded a drop of approximately 13% from its peak value during the event period. Concurrently, a secondary signal measuring ICMP reachability across IPv4 network blocks showed a more modest 10% reduction from its peak.

The cause has not been publicly attributed.

Network connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period.
