The disruptions occurred between approximately 01:59 and 03:43 UTC, with the most significant event lasting 12 minutes and registering a severity score of 1,000. The primary impact was observed on a signal measuring aggregate network backscatter, a proxy for overall connectivity levels.

Technical Details

The disruption consisted of four distinct periods of degradation. The first began at 01:59 UTC and lasted 8 minutes with a severity score of 633. A second, similar event followed immediately, scoring 667. A third, shorter event occurred at 02:30 UTC, scoring 500. The most severe event began at 03:31 UTC, lasted 12 minutes, and recorded a severity score of 1,000, contributing to a total event severity score of 2,800.

The merit-nt.median signal, which measures backscatter traffic as an aggregate connectivity proxy, showed an 82% drop from its peak value during the event. Other key internet measurement signals, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane visibility and active probing for IPv4 reachability, remained stable and showed no significant deviation.
