The disruption was characterized by a severe degradation in the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane, which manages the global routing table. The BGP visibility signal recorded a severity score of 2,813, with visibility dropping by 38% from its peak. Concurrently, active probing of IPv4 network prefixes showed a 67% reduction in reachability. Traffic volume, measured against an expected baseline, deviated significantly, showing an 86% drop from its peak during the observation period.
