Tajikistan’s internet connectivity was disrupted on Monday, with a significant degradation in its Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane visibility. The disruption began at 05:20 UTC and lasted for approximately one hour and ten minutes, ending at 06:30 UTC.

Technical Details

The event registered a severity score of 75, focused on the BGP median signal. This signal measures the stability and visibility of network routing announcements in the global control plane. A drop in this metric indicates a reduction in the number of network prefixes being advertised as reachable from Tajikistan. Other network health indicators, including active probing for reachability and traffic volume forecasts, showed less pronounced deviations during the same observation window.

The cause has not been publicly attributed. Connectivity was reported restored following the disruption period.
