The disruption began at 03:35 UTC and concluded by 04:30 UTC. The primary affected signal was the BGP median, which recorded a severity score of 83. The BGP signal measures the control plane visibility for network prefixes, indicating a reduction in the number of globally visible routing paths.
Concurrent measurements showed correlated impacts on other connectivity metrics. The gtr-norm signal, which measures deviation from an expected traffic baseline, fell by 57% from its peak. The merit-nt signal, an aggregate connectivity proxy based on backscatter measurements, dropped by 66%. The ping-slash24 signal, measuring ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 prefixes, showed a 7% reduction in reachable networks.
