The event registered a severity score of 42,928, based on the deviation of the BGP signal. The BGP signal measures the stability and visibility of network routing announcements in the global control plane. Other connectivity metrics, including active probing for IPv4 reachability, remained largely stable throughout the period.
Reported Cause
The cause of the prolonged routing disruption has not been publicly attributed.
Connectivity was reported restored by the early hours of September 2.
