The disruption registered a severity score of 301. The primary affected signal was the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), which facilitates routing information exchange between networks. The BGP signal recorded a median visibility drop of 3% from its peak during the observation period.
Other network metrics showed varied performance. The active probing signal for IPv4 reachability saw a 19% drop from its peak. A separate backscatter measurement signal, which serves as a proxy for aggregate connectivity, recorded a complete 100% drop from its observed peak during the window.
The cause has not been publicly attributed. Connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period.
