The disruption occurred between 11:20 and 11:40 UTC. The primary affected signal was the BGP median, which recorded a severity score of 91. This signal measures the control plane visibility for internet prefixes, indicating a period where routing announcements were less stable or visible globally.
Concurrent drops were observed in other key connectivity metrics. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 prefixes, showed a 20% drop from its peak. The gtr-norm signal, a forecast deviation from expected traffic baselines, fell 43% from its peak. The merit-nt signal, a backscatter measurement that serves as an aggregate connectivity proxy, dropped 100% from its peak during the same observation window.
