Technical Details
The BGP signal, which measures the routing control plane visibility for internet prefixes, recorded a severity score of 70 during the event. The signal’s median value dropped by 1% from its peak. In contrast, active probing for IPv4 reachability and traffic volume signals showed no significant correlated degradation during the observation window from 02:30 to 08:30 UTC. The ping-slash24 signal, measuring ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 prefixes, recorded only a 7% drop from its peak. The gtr-norm signal, a forecast deviation from expected traffic baseline, and the merit-nt signal, a backscatter-based connectivity proxy, showed larger percentage drops but were not flagged as part of the primary disruption event.
