The disruption to the BGP signal, which measures the visibility of network prefixes in the global routing table, recorded a severity score of 29,318. The event lasted for a full seven days, from 00:45 UTC on July 31 to 00:30 UTC on August 7. Concurrent measurements of active ICMP reachability across IPv4 address blocks showed only a minor, 14% reduction from peak levels, indicating that end-user connectivity was largely maintained despite the routing anomaly. Backscatter measurements, a proxy for overall network activity, showed a complete drop to zero during the observation period.
