The event recorded a severity score of 1,192. The most affected metric was the ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across the country’s IPv4 address space. This signal showed a 50% drop from its peak performance during the observation window.
Other signals showed varied impacts. The gtr-norm signal, which tracks normalized traffic volume, fell 68% from its peak. The merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity, dropped to zero. The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane, which manages routing announcements, remained stable with no observed change in the number of visible prefixes.
