Technical Details
The disruption was characterized by a sustained anomaly in the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) signal, which measures the control plane visibility and routing stability of network prefixes. The BGP severity score peaked at 27,567. Other measurement signals showed varying impacts: the gtr-norm signal, which tracks deviations from expected traffic volume, dropped 68% from its peak, while the merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity, fell 75% from its peak. The ping-slash24 signal, measuring ICMP reachability across IPv4 address blocks, showed a more modest 7% decline.
The cause has not been publicly attributed.
Connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period.
