The disruption registered a severity score of 3,255. The primary affected signal was the BGP control plane, which measures the visibility of network routing prefixes. The signal’s median value remained at a constant low level of 56 measurement points throughout the event, indicating a sustained reduction in advertised routes. Concurrent measurements of IPv4 reachability, known as ping-slash24, showed a 21% drop from its peak performance, though this signal was not the primary driver of the overall severity score.
