The event registered a severity score of 14,523, primarily driven by the BGP.median signal. The BGP signal measures the visibility of network prefixes in the global internet routing table, indicating control plane stability. Throughout the 8.7-day period, the number of visible prefixes remained constant at 2,806, showing no net loss but reflecting an underlying routing instability event. Other network health indicators, including active probing for IPv4 reachability and traffic backscatter measurements, showed minor fluctuations but no severe, correlated degradation in the data plane.
The cause has not been publicly attributed.
