Technical Details
The disruption was characterized by a degradation in the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) signal, which measures the visibility of network routing prefixes. The signal recorded a drop of 9% from its peak value during the observation window. Concurrently, the ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 network blocks, showed a separate 12% drop from its peak, indicating a coincident reduction in data plane connectivity.
The cause has not been publicly attributed.
