The disruption impacted three key network signals. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 /24 prefixes, recorded a severity score of 2,628 and a 68% drop from its peak value. The BGP signal, reflecting control plane visibility for network prefixes, showed a severity score of 881 and a 16% drop. The merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity based on backscatter measurements, registered two distinct degradation periods with a combined severity score of 1,974 and an 86% drop from its peak.
The cause has not been publicly attributed. Connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period.
