The primary affected signal was BGP, which measures the control plane visibility and routing stability of a country’s internet prefixes. The severity score for this signal reached 21,223. While the BGP signal showed the most pronounced impact, other network health indicators also registered declines. The ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across active IPv4 address blocks, showed a 4% drop from its peak. The gtr-norm signal, a normalized measure of traffic volume, fell 66% from its peak, and the merit-nt backscatter measurement, an aggregate connectivity proxy, dropped 38%.
