The event was characterized by a sharp drop in the ping-slash24 signal, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 network prefixes. The signal recorded a 27% drop from its peak value during the observation window. Other network health indicators also showed deviations: the gtr-norm traffic baseline signal fell by 30%, and the merit-nt backscatter measurement, a proxy for aggregate connectivity, dropped by 39%. The BGP control plane, responsible for routing visibility, remained stable throughout the event with no significant change observed.
