Kosovo experienced a brief but notable disruption to its internet routing infrastructure on Thursday evening. The event, affecting the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) control plane, lasted approximately 15 minutes starting at 23:25 UTC on July 17.

Technical Details

The disruption recorded a severity score of 27. The primary affected signal was BGP, which measures the visibility of network prefixes in the global routing table. The BGP signal showed a 2% drop from its peak value during the event. Other network health indicators, including active probing for IPv4 reachability and backscatter traffic measurements, remained stable and did not show significant concurrent degradation.
