Technical Details
The primary affected metric was the BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) signal, which measures the control plane visibility for internet routing prefixes. The median BGP visibility dropped by 2% from its peak during the observation window. Other network health indicators, including active probing for IPv4 reachability and backscatter measurements, showed lesser concurrent deviations of 10% and 64%, respectively. A forecast model for traffic volume also recorded a 53% deviation from its expected baseline.
The cause has not been publicly attributed.
Connectivity was reported restored by the end of the observation period.
