Technical Details

The connectivity degradation occurred between 12:00 and 12:40 UTC. The primary affected signal was ping-slash24, which measures ICMP reachability across IPv4 network prefixes. This signal recorded a severity score of 814, with a peak drop in reachability of 43% from its normal level.

Other network signals showed varied behavior. The BGP control plane, which announces network routes, remained stable throughout the period. The gtr-norm signal, which tracks deviations from expected traffic volume, showed a 12% drop from its peak. The merit-nt signal, a proxy for aggregate connectivity, recorded a complete drop to zero during the event window.

The cause has not been publicly attributed.
